The Republic of Georgia is a place where Christianity was taking its first steps. Where the first pilgrims, two apostles Andrew First-Called and Simon Kananaios came to spread Christianity in Georgia. It is worth to see the first Cathedral at the very place of Mtskheta city.
Georgia as a tolerant country to other religious confessions achieved peace among the different people. In fact, there is mosque in Tbilisi where the Shi’ites and Sunnis pray together. The mosque is located next to the Armenian Church, the Armenian Church itself is situated next to the Orthodox Church; the synagogue and the Catholic Church also located in the same area. It is truly amazing to see all those temples together at the very place.
